Hydro Flask Insulated Water Bottles & Food Flask

These are great for everyone, no matter what you like to do. Growing up in AZ summers it is impossible to keep your water cold. Sure you could go old-school and freeze your water bottle, but then you’ve got to deal with the soppy sweaty mess as the ice melts. These Hydroflasks keep your water cool no matter what the temperature outside, which makes these ideal for Bikram Yogis and Yoginis!

I literally have one in every size and in every color. I even have the Food Flask for lunch or dinner when I am caught up late at the hospital.

No matter what the size or what use, these are worth every penny!

Juglug – Handle for Hydro Flask Type Bottles


These are one of my BEST finds! I love my Hydro Flasks, all of them! But when they are full they can be very heavy & the manufacturer handle that comes with the bottle are not very durable. I know because I have gone through many of them. These doo-dads slip right under the bottle cap and fit every wide-mouthed HydroFlask. 

Kulae Yoga Mat

Yoga mats come a dime-a-dozen, so it’s hard to know which ones really do work the best. Now if you are not an avid yogi or yogini you may not understand how and why there is difference between yoga mats. Let me tell you….many mats are designed for the specific type of yoga you do…some are non-slip (think Vinyasa), some are extra squishy with extra padding (think restorative/Yin yoga), and then there are those that dry quickly (essential for hatha yoga).

Because I primarily practice Bikram Yoga, I prefer a mat that dries fast and doesn’t smell…insert Kulae mats here.  If you think “other” yoga mats will suffice for hatha yoga, you’re wrong. Sure they are pretty cheap at Target, $10, but you will be replacing these mats every few months when you realize they don’t dry and inevitably smell like feet. Do yourself a favor and invest in a good mat!

 Liqumins ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops

A.MUST.HAVE. if you are a hatha yogi or yogini. We love the sweat, right? It’s one of the greatest draws to the class. Afterwards you feel clean and refreshed knowing you just dumped a ton of toxins and have left them on your mat. While this is a great perk, it can also be a great drawback, as sweating so much may deplete you of your electrolytes, leaving you feeling sore the next day. These drops are the greatest because they really are potently concentrated that you can put in your water during class, so you never have to play “catch up”. This product is taste-less and calorie-free.

Infinity Strap – STRETCH!

This strap will out-do any of the generic yoga straps out there. I recommend getting the STRETCH version. Great for loosening up hamstrings, hip flexors IT-bands, the chest…..anything, really!

Foam Rollers

Whatever activity or sport it is that you like to do, a foam roller is A.MUST. I like this little one with pressure points as it travels well and is really firm. The longer (all foam) ones are good too, I have both…I use both!

In yoga especially this is the only thing that helps loosen up my tight back, especially after standing all day at the hospital, or toting around my nephew.

If you are an adult and live an American lifestyle i.e. drive, work long hours, mostly sedentary, and have chronic pain, it is likely that you have tightness somewhere in your hips, back, hamstrings, and IT-band.  Regular foam rolling can help work out all that tweaking.

The nice thing about most foam rollers (this one especially) is that they come with different variations and exercises to get the most out of your foam roller!
